We just enjoyed an incredibly fun trip to Bend Oregon where we attended a family camp, (Camp Dwight), at our friend's house. There were over 300 believers gathered to fellowship together. We met so many precious people and got to see several dear friends who we hadn't seen in a long time!
Unfortunately we were having such a good time we didn't stop to get very many good pictures. We do have a video of the talent night... So many good memories! Now we all feel like we left something in Oregon and there's serious talk about possibly going back up for the Booher family music camp... we're still seeking the Lord's direction on that.
We're praising the Lord for a super smooth trip! We left our house at 9:15 pm Thursday night, and drove straight through, arriving at 1:14 pm Friday afternoon. Bus travel with the family is always an exciting adventure!!! It was neat to drive all the way through the night, we had so many drivers we only had to take 2 or 3 hour shifts and then we were free to sleep the rest of the time. It was also nice that the little ones didn't have time to get bored because they slept most of the time, and when they were awake they were free to move around, and one more added plus, we didn't feel like we wasted an entire day traveling!

At camp Dwight we enjoyed...

This is starting to look like a serious plug for Camp Dwight! LOL! Did I mention how much fun we had? ;)
On our way home, we had to go over the "Grapevine"(a pass through some mountains that's really steep, up to a 6% grade!) which our bus's record speed over is 20 mph on the steep side! (We set the record at night when it was about 60 degrees outside) When we climbed it on Monday afternoon at 2:30, it was about 105 degrees. We were having a hard time not overheating even when we kept our speed down to 15 and then 10. We discovered that turning on the heater drew the heat out of the engine compartment and helped to cool the engine!!! I wish we had a picture of us, with the door and emergency exit windows open, sweating our eyeballs out! We tried soo hard to think that there was a snowstorm outside and we were comfy cozy warm inside our bus... Yeah, it could have been totally miserable but it made the trip so much more memorable, and it was a great test of our endurance. Definitely a bonding experience!
We got home on Monday evening, (about 5pm) and it's back to work for everyone! Tiffany is teaching her english class at Home of Christians Summer school, Mom is doing paperwork at the office, and Dad, Chris, Justin, Mandy, Annie and Willie tore into another kitchen today. We hope to have this one totally completed by next Tuesday!
The week before our trip we had the opportunity to visit with some friends from Arkansas. They came to pizza night on Friday and spent the day with us at the beach on Monday. The waves were totally awesome on Monday just for the record! (I threw that bit of information in for free!) ;)

That's all for now. We just said goodbye to our last guests at pizza night. It was a fun evening all together. We were expecting maybe 3 families and ended up having 10 not counting ourselves!!
