November 26th 2005

November 26th We had a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday! It didn't feel exactly like Thanksgiving since it was the first time that we spent it without our relatives. But it was a special day anyway, and we enjoyed beautiful weather, and a feast outdoors, counting our blessings, lively discussions, good music, and lots of volleyball!

We woke up one morning to find frost covering everything outside! It was kind of pretty looking. According to our neighbors, it's usually very cold and miserable weather in November, with ice storms that cut off electricity! We've been really blessed with mild weather so far! In fact the weather has been beautiful lately!Believe it or not, we've finished with the drywalling! And we sprayed texture on the rest of the walls and ceilings on Wednesday! (We can put those tools away now.)We're looking forward to getting it all painted soon! Then we'll have to do something about the floors... I think!?Today we worked on the trim work upstairs. We want to get it all primed before we spray the walls and ceilings. We didn't get very far, we got too caught up in patching dings and knicks in the wood, but we should be able to spray after one more day of work.Last Thursday we were invited to Brother Sam and Sister Mary's home for authentic Indian food, and more fellowship with them and our friend Pushpan. We took a tour of their beautiful house, and we enjoyed getting to know them better, and learning about Indian culture and their state in India, (the state of coconuts.)
